Since last week, Trump’s original account on X (formerly Twitter)has been very active .
In 2021, Twitter permanently banned the former United States leader account due to the risk of further incitement of violence”, the company says.
Mr Trump was locked out of his account for 12 hours after he called the people who stormed the US Capitol “patriots”.
Hundreds of his supporters entered the complex as the US Congress attempted to certify Joe Biden’s victory in the presidential election. The ensuing violence led to the deaths of four civilians and a police officer.
After being allowed back on Twitter, Mr Trump posted two tweets that the company cited as the final straws.
In one, he wrote: “The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape or form!!!”
Twitter said this tweet “is being interpreted as further indication that President Trump does not plan to facilitate an ‘orderly transition'”.
In the next, the president tweeted: “To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”
Twitter said this was “being received by a number of his supporters as further confirmation that the election was not legitimate”.
Twitter said both of these tweets were “in violation of the Glorification of Violence Policy.
Former President Donald Trump posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, for the first time in almost a year Monday, ahead of a conversation with X owner Elon Musk—marking a return to the platform for Trump, a once-frequent Twitter user who was removed from the site after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot and reinstated after Musk bought it.
The interview between Donald Trump , and the Tesla CEO, Elon Musk continue to generate reactions.
Trump and Musk haven’t always been on good terms. In the run-up to the presidential election in 2016, Musk said in a CNBC interview that Trump was “not the right guy,” noting that he didn’t have the “sort of character that reflects well on the United States.” Still, once Trump was in office Musk initially fostered a friendly relationship with the president, even agreeing to join two White House advisory councils. He quickly stepped down after Trump pulled out of the Paris Agreement, which aims to limit global warming to under 2 degrees Celsius.
On this new relationship between Trump and Musk, an X user known as Anambra 1st son posted a minute video speech of Donald Trump amd wrote, “Elon is another Bullsh***t…. Trump. 👀“
The post shared by the user gamered over 178k views as at Wednesday afternoon.
