An X user, @VoiceOfIgbo  has posted a video of a man and claimed he confessed to killing and selling his friend’s body parts for #20,000. He claimed it was recently 

The X user shared the video and wrote, “BREAKING: A man k!! Led his friend and sold h!s b0dy parts for 20k.

The post has generated over 52k views, more than 300 reposts and 600 likes.

FACTWATCH Nigeria observed that the man in the video confessed in the Yoruba language.

Many who commented on the post believed this incident happened recently.

Verification

When FACTWATCH Nigeria subjected keyframes from the video to a Google Image Reverse Search, the result indicated that the incident happened in January 2021 in Osun State.

According to a DailyTrust newspaper publication, men of Osun State Police Command arrested a cleric, Tiamiyu Yusuf, who was in possession of a human head in the Iwo community.

Then, Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Wale Olokode, confirmed the arrest of the suspect with the exhibit.

Tiamiyu, at the Police Headquarters, confessed that he bought the human head for N20,000 from his friend.

“It is true. I was arrested with a human head. I bought it for someone.

“He wants to use it for a money ritual. I bought it for him for N20,000”.
