Claim
An X user, @Agnes_nwanneka has shared a video showing the current Nigeria’s work Minister, Dave Umahi, berating the former governor of Rivers State and serving FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, claiming it was recent.
In a one-minute video, Umahi was seen slamming Wike, he challenged the Ex-Rivers governor to a public debate to rate their achievements.
@Agnes_Nwanneka published the video with a caption that reads, “E Don Red oh.
The ex-old Ebonyi State GOVERNOR, David Umahi, slams Nyesom Wike.
The post has already garnered over 184k views and more than 2k likes. According to X analytics, more than 1k persons have shared the video on X.
Dave Umahi and Nyesom Wike were former governors of Ebonyi and Rivers States from 2015 — 2023.
Verification
However, a simple keyword search, “UMAHI SLAMS WIKE,” on Google search, showed that the incident happened around 2022.
According to reports, Umahi attacked Wike of Rivers State for saying that he was the mastermind behind his (Umahi) current legal imbroglio in the country.
Nyesom Wike had earlier criticized his Umahi for defecting to the All Progressives Congress and the claims of injustice he made against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to him, apart from defecting based on selfish reasons (his 2023 presidential ambition), Governor Umahi had also been threatening the party (PDP).
But responding, he challenged Wike to a public debate.

Verdict
This claim that Umahi recently criticized Wike is MISLEADING. Simple findings showed that this incident happened in March 2022 when the ex-Ebonyi State governor defected from the PDP to the ruling APC.
