This claim is MISLEADING. Investigation indicated that the video was the recovery of ₦10 million by an activist, Harrison Gwamnishu. The money was extorted from an NYSC member by the police in 2024. The video has nothing to do with ransom delivery to Herdsmen.

An X user, @agnes_nwanneka has posted a video alongside the claim that it shows the arrangement of ransom to be paid to Fulani herdsmen in Nigeria.
In the video, huge bundles of cash were doled out front of a bag and arranged in the boot of a vehicle.
@agnes_nwanneka posted with a caption that reads, “This is ransom to be paid to Fulani herdsmen for their kidnapping job in Nigeria.”
With over 4k views and hundreds of likes and reposts, many comments on the post showed that many believed this to be true.
In recent times in Nigeria, the attacks by the killer- herdsmen have increased to unimaginable heights. These attacks are rampant in Benue, Plateau, and some South-South, Southwest, and Southeast states in Nigeria.

FACTWATCH Nigeria subjected keyframes from the video to a Google Lens and discovered that the video was the recovery of ₦10 million by an activist, Harrison Gwamnishu. The money was extorted from an NYSC member by some policemen in November 2024.
In Facebook a post in November 2024, Mr Gwamnishu attached the full video showing the recovery of money and wrote, “N10,000,000.00 CASH RECOVERY FROM POLICE OFFICERS FROM ZONE 16 BAYELSA STATE.

Corroborating this further, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun revealed that the Force successfully recovered N10 million allegedly extorted from a group of young Nigerians by four officers in Bayelsa State.
The officers, identified as ASP Emmanuel Ubong and Inspectors Nse Okon, Adiewere Collins, and Kuromare Marine, allegedly coerced their victims into surrendering the sum. In a statement issued on Friday on behalf of the IGP, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, disclosed that the sum was recovered thanks to the intervention of the newly appointed Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) for Zone 16, Adebola Hamzat.
