Verdict
This claim is FALSE. Investigation by FACTWATCH Nigeria has shown the image was photoshopped. The luxury car in the photo was gifted to Davido by Mr. Jay Autos LLC in November 2024, even before Lookman won the African Player of the Year award in December 2024.

A Nigerian afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke (Davido), has consistently demonstrated a profound commitment to philanthropy, particularly through his David Adeleke Foundation (DAF), established in 2022. His charitable endeavors extend beyond mere donations; they reflect a strategic and sustained effort to impact vulnerable communities in Nigeria and beyond.
Orphanage support remains the cornerstone of his charity. He has made it a consistent annual tradition to donate substantial sums to orphanages across Nigeria.
Regarding this, a Facebook page, Stanley fans has shared an image of a luxury car with attached photos of Davido and Lookman alongside a claim that the music star had gifted a luxury car to the football star.

Many people who commented on the Facebook post, hailed Davido for the car gift to Lookman. The Facebook post had already generated thousands of reactions.
The football star, Ademola Lookman, a Super Eagles and Atlanta forward, won the African player of the year award in 2024 after reaching the AFCON final with Nigeria and helping his club to win the UEFA Europa League in 2024.
FACTWATCH Nigeria observed that this claim also spread across many Facebook pages in December 2024.
Verification
First, we cropped out the attached images of Davido and Lookman from the picture shared by Stanley fans and subjected only the luxury car to Google Image Reverse Search. The results led us to posts on TikTok and the X platform showing that the luxury car was gifted to Davido in November 2024.
To confirm further, FACTWATCH Nigeria did a simple Google search and found a reputable news organization in Nigeria that reported that the luxury car in the photo was gifted to Davido by Mr. Jay Autos LLC in November 2024.
The publication by Punch online showed with photos, that in celebration of the singer’s 32nd birthday on Thursday, the company presented him with a brand-new Escalade 600 premium luxury car.

Lookman clinched the African best player award in December while Davido received the luxury car from Jay Autos LLC in November 2024. This indicates that this is just a fabricated story to generate.
Also, attaching the photos of Davido and Lookman to the car portrays this claim to be false.
Conclusion
Like the other false claims, there was never a time Davido gifted Ademola Lookman a luxury car.
