A Facebook user, Yassar Suleiman has claimed that the Northern traders sent over 70 trucks of foodstuffs to Igbo communities during the Christmas season.
In a Facebook post, the user attached four photos of trucks of foodstuffs and wrote, “Northern Traders Send 70 Trucks of Rice to Igbo Communities for Christmas
“In the spirit of Christmas and unity, Northern traders from Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, and Jos states have extended a generous hand to their Igbos brothers in the East. The traders, coming together under a collective cause, dispatched 70 trucks loaded with rice to support and celebrate with their Eastern counterparts during the festive season.
“This act of kindness emphasizes the importance of unity and mutual care across ethnic lines, showcasing the shared humanity that binds all Nigerians. According to sources, the rice was sent to various Eastern communities to help families enjoy a joyous Christmas celebration.
“The gesture has been widely praised, with many Nigerians on social media hailing the initiative as an example of the brotherhood and love the season represents. “This shows the power of unity and love among Nigerians despite our differences,” one commenter wrote.

First, no credible news organization anywhere reported that this was true after a thorough search by FACTWATCH Nigeria.
Also, no resident from the southeast confirmed that trucks of foodstuffs were sent to the Southeast.
