This claim is MISLEADING. Simple findings showed that the first appeared on Facebook in 2022.

To lament and criticize the unending activities of bandits and Insecurity, which have continued to ravage the northern part of Nigeria, social media users shared a video showing bandits who were freely celebrating on a road.
An X user, @ElochukwuOhagi posted the video with a caption that reads, “Bandits now mount roadblocks in the North.
@TrendingEx on X published the same video and wrote, “Trending video of an alleged bandit road checkpoint in Zamfara state..
On Facebook, Umar Musa shared the video and claimed it was a bandits checkpoint in Zamfara State.
This video was also shared on Instagram recently.
Verification
FACTWATCH Nigeria subjected keyframes from the video to Google Lens and the results showed that this video was first posted on Facebook on 11th January 2022.
This video was shared by a Facebook user, Sarki Zak Mkk with part of the caption in Hausa Language ( but translated to English) that reads, “How many soldiers do we have in Nigeria…
Another Facebook user, Aminu Adam, shared the video on the same date in 2022 and claimed that it was in Zamfara State.
In March 2022, an online media organization, EONS Intelligence, shared a keyframe from this video with a report that the dreaded bandit leader, Ado Aleiru, terrorizing the Tsafe community in Zamfara, has reportedly called for peace between his fighters and the Tsafe Community in Zamfara State.
A more credible news organization, HumAngle, corroborated the report.
This indicated that the video of bandits celebrating on the road was in 2022.
Conclusion
This video of bandits celebrating on the road was in 2022 but mischief makers recirculated it as recent. Therefore, it’s MISLEADING.
