Facebook pages distributed screenshots from a video of a dark-skinned lady welding a rifle alongside the claim that she’s from the Fulani tribe.
Verdict

This claim is UNPROVEN. Checks showed that this video first appeared online in February, posted by the South Sudan and Ethiopia Facebook pages. Also, two Indigenous Fulanis confirmed that the words from the lady in that video weren’t Fulfulde language.

Facebook pages have published screenshots from the video of a dark-skinned lady welding a rifle alongside the claim that she’s from the Fulani tribe.
IgbereTV and Politics Nigeria shared the screenshots with a caption that reads, “TRENDING: Fulani Lady Captured In A Video Shooting AK 47 Rifle Inside The Bush | #IgbereTV
“A clip has emerged on TikTok showing a Fulani lady speaking Fulfulde while she handles the weapon professionally.
This post on the Facebook pages has already garnered hundreds of comments and reactions.
FACTWATCH Nigeria also cited the video which was posted on a YouTube channel on 23rd April.
Verification
However, this Fact Checker subjected the screenshots from the video to Google Lens and found out this clip first appeared online in February.
On 24th February, a Facebook page based in Ethiopia, Gambella Contemporary Issue posted this same wrote, “This is one of the slay queens in Gambella, Ethiopia.
“If the Gambella slay queens have the skill to handle firearms with precision like this, it raises significant concerns about the safety of men in the region.
“What if she shoots the cameraman by mistake?
Also, on 25th February, a Facebook page that is based in South Sudan, SSD Hot Girls shared the video and claimed the clip was from South Sudan.
However, this Fact Checker couldn’t get a deep detail or story that is linked to the video.
When FACTWATCH Nigeria reached out to Aliyu Ahmed, an Indigenous Fulani in Adamawa state, Nigeria’s northeast, he said that the words from the lady in the video were not Fulfulde language.
Another Fulan local who resides in Kebbi state, Usman Abdullah, also confirmed that the language spoken in the video doesn’t relate to Fulfulde.
Conclusion
Details of the video can’t be found anywhere as there’s no concrete proof that the lady in the clip is from the Fulani tribe.
