The post garnered over 1 million views with hundreds of thousands of reactions and reposts.
Verification
FACTWATCH Nigeria did a Google search to verify this claim.
We discovered that the video was from 2015 Trump became president of the United States.
Trump called for a halt to Muslims entering the US, in the wake of the deadly California shootings in 2015.
In a campaign statement, he said a “total and complete” shutdown should remain until the US authorities “can figure out” Muslim attitudes to the US.
At a rally in South Carolina hours later, frontrunner Mr Trump repeated the pledge, to loud cheers.
