An Instagram user, Nonsonkwa has claimed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) uncovered Billion at Ex-Governor Wike’s London house with Already written 2027 election result for Tinubu .
The Instagram account attached images of Wike and boxes of documents and wrote, “Breaking News: FBI Uncovered $6 Billion at Ex-Governor Wike’s London house with Already written 2027 election result for Tinubu
“In a stunning revelation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has uncovered a staggering $6 billion in cash at the London residence of former Governor Nyesom Wike. The discovery has sent shockwaves through political circles, particularly as documents allegedly detailing the results of the 2027 presidential election were also found on the premises.
“Sources indicate that the investigation began as a part of a broader inquiry into international money laundering and electoral fraud. The substantial amount of cash, reportedly stored in various locations within the house, raises serious questions about its origin and the intended use.
“In addition to the cash, the FBI recovered several papers that purportedly outline the election results for the upcoming 2027 presidential race, favoring current President Bola Tinubu.
FactWatch observed that this claim was also shared on Facebook and WhatsApp’s on Saturday evening.
Verification
First, FactWatch couldn’t find any credible report which confirmed this claim to be true.
As what authority do FBI special agents have to make arrests in foreign territories, FBI stated on it’s official website, that in a foreign country, it’s special agents generally do not have authority to make arrests except in certain cases where, with the consent of the host country. But in the U.S. and its territories, FBI special agents may make arrests for any federal offense committed in their presence or when they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed, or is committing, a felony violation of U.S. laws.
When we subjected the photos attached to the claim to a simple Google image reverse search, FactWatch found out that the pictures are related to US ex president Donald Trump’s classified documents case.
