Facebook pages and a news outlet in Nigeria have published a picture showing policemen who were paraded for assaulting two men in Imo State.
The caption on the image posted by Spynigeria.NG reads, “Orderly room trial for Six (6) police officers caught on camera, flogging and a$$aulting two men with a machete in Imo State has commenced, the Imo state police command says, and guess what? They are all from SE!
The erring officers are:
- Inspector Amadi Sunday
- Inspector Amajuoji Charles
- Sgt. Noachian Chinese
- Sgt. Onwuka Emmanuel
- Csl Ezewuodo Goodness
- Cp Emmanuel Chimezie

Progressive Nigerian Politics and blog, OKN News published this image as a recent incident.
Verification
A simple Image Reverse Search on Google Lens showed that this parade of policemen occurred on 26 April 2023.
The police spokesperson in Nigeria, Olumuyiwa Adejobi shared the news of the parade via his X account two years ago. He wrote, “The Imo State Police Command has commenced the orderly room trial of the policemen who were caught on a video flogging and assaulting a man in Imo State recently.
Premium Times also reported this incident in April 2023.
